MGLC Summer in Tivoli 2026

MGLC Summer in Tivoli enters its sixteenth year this year, once again bringing a diverse programme of art, music and socialising to the green embrace of Tivoli Park in the surroundings of Grad Tivoli and Švicarija. This year’s edition is particularly special as it coincides with the 40th anniversary of the founding of the International Centre of Graphic Arts.

The festival offers a full-day programme for all generations: children’s theatre, printmaking workshops, concerts, exhibitions and guided tours. It will culminate on Summer Museum Night, when a treasure hunt and, for the first time, an international fair of zines and art publications will be held alongside the regular programme.

As in previous years, the main venue will be Plečnikov avditorij – a renovated open-air theatre in the clearing behind Grad Tivoli, originally designed by architect Jože Plečnik in as early as 1933, drawing on the models of ancient theatres. The renovated space, refurbished by the City of Ljubljana, is now an attractive open-air venue for cultural events and will once again come to life in June, bringing with it a blend of summer freshness and creative energy.
