Invitation to Participate: Cantastoria – Visual Theatre
MGLC invites young people aged 16 and over, as well as adults, to take part in Cantastoria: Visual Theatre, a multi-month programme accompanying Ana Čavić’s exhibition A thread without end. Together, we will open our minds and imaginations, explore movement and the body, and unleash our creativity.
From November 2026 to January 2027, we will explore different ways of experiencing and expressing art through mindfulness, interpretation of the exhibition, movement and dance, paper-based art, and animation. We will bring our experiences together in a short animated film, which will be presented publicly on MGLC’s websites and social media platforms.
The process will be guided by four mentors: Lili Šturm (MGLC), curator and senior museum adviser, who will design the programme and lead the group; Nina Arnuš (Zavod Tri), cultural studies specialist and mindfulness practitioner, who will guide the interpretation of the exhibition; Saša Lončar (KD Qulenium), choreographer and educator, who will lead the movement and dance sequences; and Janja Kosi, visual artist, illustrator and animator, who will guide the paper-based art and animation workshops.
Gašper Markun, actor, director, filmmaker and educator, will be responsible for the video and photo documentation of the programme and the final editing of the film.
The programme is intended for young people aged 16 and over and adults, with a maximum of 10 participants.
You can only register for the full programme, not for individual sessions.
Applications, including a short CV and a few sentences about your expectations, are accepted until all places are filled or until 10 November 2026. Please apply by emailing lili.sturm@mglc-lj.si.
