35th Ljubljana Biennale of Graphic Arts - A Catalogue

The 35th Ljubljana Biennale of Graphic Arts entitled From the void came gifts of the cosmos was accompanied by a comprehensive catalogue, which includes a note by the curators on the concept of the Biennale, descriptions and colour reproductions of the works by the exhibiting artists, as well as texts on the recipient of the Grand Prize of the 34th Ljubljana Biennale of Graphic Arts and the concept of The Holy Corner print portfolio. The main exhibition invited visitors to become part of an ecosystem of transnational alliances and solidarities as well as emerging histories of resistance and liberation. Drawing on the legacies of diverse histories, the Biennale was conceived by the curators as a space of potential that offers the possibility of transforming the void into the gifts of the cosmos. In this context, the void formed an egalitarian framework from which multiplicity emerged, while functioning as a site of artistic indeterminacy guided by a spirit of inclusion.
