27th Biennial of Graphic Arts
The catalogue of the 27th Biennial of Graphic Arts, entitled The Unbound Eyes of Anxiousness, was one of the venues for the main exhibition, which was on display at the International Centre of Graphic Arts and at other venues in Ljubljana and Slovenia (Ljubljana Passenger Transport buses, jumbo billboards, Mercator Center Celje and Maribor, Modna hiša, Maximarket passageway and poster sites across Ljubljana, the websites jaka.org and india.si, Ribji trg in Ljubljana and apartments in Ljubljana). 51 artists participated in the main exhibition, the works were judged by a three-member international jury and the curators were Lilijana Stepančič, Breda Škrjanec and Božidar Zrinski.
Also on display were the exhibition of the prizewinner of the previous Biennial Stigma (Trienal Poli/Gráfika de San Juan) and the accompanying exhibitions: First Impressions, The Beginnings of the Modern Art Print; 3500 cm2, art poster project; Thomas Nozkowski, Works on Paper; The Artist’s Book, New Acquisitions of the P74 Collection; Musee Ferraille and the exhibition Printed at MGLC. Marimar Benítez, Andrej Smrekar, Lorenzo Benedetti, Aleksander Bassin and Urška Jurman were the curators of the exhibitions that took place in Cankarjev dom, National Gallery, Alkatraz Gallery, the spaces of the collection of the City Art Museum, P74 Center and Gallery, Kapelica Gallery and Kresija Gallery. Accompanying texts to the exhibitions are also published in the lavishly produced catalogue with full colour reproductions.
