22nd International Biennial of Graphic Arts
The catalogue of the 22nd International Biennial of Graphic Arts, which was on view at the International Centre of Graphic Arts, the Museum of Modern Art, the National Museum of Slovenia and Cankarjev dom and included works by 321 artists from 47 countries. The works were evaluated by a five-member international jury. The patron of the 22nd International Biennial of Graphic Arts was the President of the Republic of Slovenia Milan Kučan.
The main biennial exhibition, the personal retrospectives of the award-winners and the accompanying exhibition were designed by Zoran Kržišnik, Breda Škrjanec, Majda Jerman, Mitja Rotovnik, Maruša Stupica and Nina Pirnat-Spahić. The personal retrospectives of the first six award-winners of the previous edition (Joe Tilson, Günther Uecker, Wonchul Jung, Bernardí Roig, Birgit Sauer, Peter Ciuha) and a condensed presentation of the Ljubljana Graphic School were mounted and the accompanying texts and texts by individual national selectors of the main exhibition were published in the catalogue.
The catalogue has a lavish design and was the first to include only colour reproductions. On the cover is a reproduction of a work by Günther Uecker. The catalogue was designed by Ranko Novak.
