The catalogue of the 19th International Biennial of Graphic Arts, which was on view at the International Centre of Graphic Arts, the Museum of Modern Art, Cankarjev dom, the Mala galerija Gallery and other smaller Ljubljana galleries and included works by 375 artists from 49 countries. The works were evaluated by a four-member international jury.

The main biennial exhibition, the personal retrospectives of the award-winners and the accompanying exhibitions were designed by Zoran Kržišnik, Majda Jerman and Pavel Toplak. The personal retrospectives of the first three award-winners of the previous edition (Haydeé Landing, Patrick L. Mahon, Petar Waldegg) and the exhibitions of Max Bill and Janez Bernik were mounted and the accompanying texts and texts by individual national selectors of the main exhibition were published in the catalogue. The organisers also prepared a special exhibition of Japanese printmaking, which included works by eight artists, an exhibition of drawings by the printmakers Zvest Apollonio, Zmago Jeraj and Vladimir Makuc and an exhibition of Gustav Gnamuš’s works.

The catalogue is lavishly illustrated in black and white and includes a few colour reproductions of the exhibited works. The cover was designed by Ranko Novak, Studio Znak. The catalogue was typographically edited by Srečko Mrak.
