9 + 9, Artists’ Books and Artists

The 9 + 9, Artists’ Books and Artists exhibition catalogue presents nine Slovene artists (Andrejka Čufer, Marko A. Kovačič, Tanja Lazetić, Petra Petančič, Eva Petrič, Alenka Pirman, Tadej Pogačar, Sašo Sedlaček, Mladen Stropnik) and their projects that were produced especially for the exhibition. The invited artists were placed in the role of exhibition planners installing museum exhibits. During browsing and searching through the MGLC collection, each artist selected at least one artwork. New viewpoints in terms of content and theory sprung up for understanding artists’ books, as well as museum and gallery work, the presentation of exhibits, their interpretation, and the actualization of museum collections. The exhibition was curated by Breda Škrjanec and Božidar Zrinski.
