We Want to be Free as the Fathers Were

The exhibition catalogue presents eighteen Slovene artists from various generations, all of which use the painting medium to try and answer the various questions connected with art: How does the contemporary media image of the world show itself in the painting of today? How do artists respond to the flitting gaze, television and internet collages? How do they understand the contemporary media landscape, its characteristics, system of functioning and inclusion into the social microstructure? The exhibition was curated by Petja Grafenauer and Božidar Zrinski.
