Ivo Mršnik, Reflections of Consciousness
The catalogue to the exhibition Reflections of Consciousness features Ivo Mršnik’s drawing and printmaking oeuvre, from his earliest lithographs, produced at the beginning of the 1970s, to his most recent prints from the Stardust series. In 2009 he printed three motifs in the etching and vernis mou techniques at the MGLC Print Studio. The catalogue features an essay by Jožef Muhovič, What is that Little Black Thing I See There in the White? Brief Reflections on the Genome and Horizons of Mršnik’s Artistic Worlds, as well as an interview with the artist by Petja Grafenauer entitled Sometimes it is Good to Stroll on the Surface so you Can See the Deepness, and a selection of colour reproductions and documentation on Mršnik’s creativity. The exhibition was curated by Breda Škrjanec.
