Silvan Omerzu, Automatons, Puppets, Actors

The catalogue features the Table Scenes exhibition, which represents the puppets of Silvan Omerzu and their performativity. The set-up at MGLC was a contemporary integral artwork and a kind of site-specific installation. The exhibition spaces, with their doorways, their windows on one side, and white walls on the other, provided the backdrop for a long flat surface on which a series of miniature table scenes were arranged with puppets in various poses. The miniature table scenes could only be observed from afar. These tables with puppets functioned like some sort of micro-cosmos, an installation that tells the story of life and death. The exhibition was curated by Silvan Omerzu. The catalogue was produced in collaboration with the Velenje Gallery. The publication was a document of the exhibition featuring reproductions of the installation and photographic documentation of the exhibition held at MGLC.
