The catalogue to the accompanying exhibition of the 21st International Biennial of Graphic Arts, A Portfolio of 55 Protagonists of Constructed Art, which was on view at Cankarjev dom and which presented 55 artists from 22 countries were.

The exhibition concept was devised by Getulio Alviani and the show was set up by Maruša Stupica. The exhibition was conceived as the first part of a trilogy with which the organisers wished to initiate theoretical reflection on the graphic arts after the Second World War. It was conceived as a presentation of portfolios of mostly colour prints that the artists produced themselves and in which they presented their artistic credo. The catalogue contains biographical data, a list of exhibited works and accompanying texts by artists as well as some texts by critics.

In a lavish design, all reproductions are in full colour. The poster and the cover of the catalogue were designed by Marco Matricardi.
