Mladen Stropnik, SOFA

The catalogue contains a text by Božidar Zrinski on Stropnik’s print portfolio Beć, colour reproductions of prints and drawings, as well as a list of exhibited works. Beć is an interesting and experimental print folio produced in the screen printing technique in 2011 in the MGLC Print Studio. It is a considered and conceptual whole of five seemingly unconnected prints that comes together in its qualities of the illogical, random, momentary and inspirational to make up an interesting testimony and understanding of art as something ungraspable, unfamiliar and not completely understandable. The author demands from the viewer the right amount of humour, forming of random links and associative leaps from one print to the other. The exhibition was curated by Božidar Zrinski.
