The concept of The Void portfolio was based on the structure of the Biennial since each of the invited artists was a representative of one of the five groups that have formed on the basis of an invitation to the recipients of the Grand Prize of the past five editions of the Biennial. The Void questioned the conditions and implications of the situation into which artists are placed upon being asked to invite another artist. It appeared as that intimate, miniscule and momentary contact with something from which relationships to everything that surrounds us subsequently spring.
