Pop-up presentation of works by the participants of the 2023–2024 printmaking courses
The International Centre of Graphic Arts (MGLC) has been organising courses on printmaking techniques for adults for more than twenty years. The courses, which last fifty hours, span over several months and run from November to March. The course participants will present a selection of their work at the pop-up presentation in the Print Studio on Wednesday, 3 April, from 5 pm. The presentation is open to the public. We especially invite interested printmaking enthusiasts to attend to learn more about the course content and experience.
To mark the 20th anniversary of the printmaking courses, MGLC also produced a short 3-minute animated film entitled The Mystery of Printmaking directed by Grega Mastnak, painter, director, scriptwriter and animator. The film was shot in the MGLC Print Studio at the end of 2023. In a witty and at the same time didactic manner, it tells how a graphic work is created using the etching technique.
The film will premiere on Wednesday, 3 April, at 5 pm on the MGLC website, FB and Instagram, as well as live at the final event and pop-up presentation of the works by the participants of the printmaking courses.
