Feedback Loops: On Fermentation and Art at the exhibition Worlds within Worlds: Terra Incognita by Tracy Naa Koshie Thompson

The exhibition will be introduced by curator Patrick Nii Okanta Ankrah, followed by a fermentation workshop open to all visitors.

Worlds within Worlds is the culmination of many years of experimentation and close observation of food polymers and their visible but hidden universes.

The artist’s interest in deconstructing food through its material and pictorial representation is reflected as a critique and expansion of the still-life genre. She does so by paying attention to the lively processes that occur in food, such as fermentation, crystallisation and plasticity, as well as other microforms and processes that challenge the literal representation of the food we are familiar with.

The event is part of the Ljubljana Art Weekend 2026.
