OPEN STUDIO with artists Julie Peter and Kasper Fleng

Artist Julie Peter and master printmaker Kasper Fleng will be guests in the MGLC Print Studio from 8 February to 8 March 2026.

In the MGLC Print Studio, the two artists continue the series of guest visits by international master printmakers, uniting their lithographic experience with the extensive knowledge of screenprinting that MGLC has to offer. With the support of master printmaker Jakob Puh, they are focused on experimenting with the combination of two distinct yet complementary techniques – lithography and screenprinting. Their residency will conclude with the production of a series of prints.

During the Open Studio Days, interested audiences, including art enthusiasts, printmakers, artists, art students, professors and others, are also invited to take part in the exchange of skills, knowledge and approaches.

Julie Peter graduated from the Weissensee Academy of Art Berlin and went on to receive her master's degree from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Already during her studies, she experimented with combining lithography and screenprinting; she is interested in how to unite the contrasting logics of both techniques into an interconnected visual language.

Kasper Fleng is a master lithographer with more than a decade of experience in the field of printmaking and former director of the Danish graphic workshop Hjørring Grafisk Værksted. His art practice is marked by the continuous refinement and development of experimental processes within the lithography medium.
