Public presentation at the exhibition Small but dangers, Natura morta.

With the participation of students from the class of Prof. Dr. Nadja Zgonik and Asst. Prof. Dr. Petja Grafenauer (ALUO UL), Small but dangers, Božidar Zrinski and Lili Šturm (MGLC). 

Small but dangers (SBD) is a deliberately misspelt version of the phrase "small but dangerous", which has become a guiding thread, a recognisable slogan and the name under which the art duo Mateja Rojc and Simon Hudolin work. Well established on the Slovenian scene, the duo have been presenting audiences with a variety of visual jabs since their first exhibitions in 2004, testing the flexibility of our grey matter and, above all, our capacity for observing, reading and searching for the unfamiliar within the familiar. The exhibition entitled Natura morta is their largest to date and marks 21 years of their artmaking. With it, they affirm that exhibiting is merely one of the mediums through which they operate and within which their sign system can be transformed into an extensive metalanguage about art itself.
