Speckles Treckles in the City, children’s summer workshops final meet-up

This summer, we spent time with Speckles Treckles, who is actually the famous Žogica Marogica, also known as Speckles the Ball, the main heroine of the 36th Ljubljana Biennale of Graphic Arts. Although she is currently "in residence" at the Biennale, her real home is the Museum of Puppetry at Ljubljana Castle. Inspired by her, we explored a variety of creative printmaking possibilities at MGLC Grad Tivoli and MGLC Švicarija; at the City Art Gallery Ljubljana, we travelled into a dream world to the sounds of art, made fortune‑telling cards and chased the Rascal Dragon Zmaj Tolovaj; and at the Museum of Modern Art (MG+) – where we even met her in person – we discovered the world of puppets, tried our hand at origami, made juggling balls, did some embroidery and searched for the hidden inhabitants of the forest of guardians.

Join us for the pinnacle of our summer adventure on Thursday, 4 September, from 18.00 to 19.00 at the Museum of Puppetry, Ljubljana Castle.

The workshops were developed in collaboration with the education departments of MGLC, the Museum of Modern Art (MG+) and the City Art Gallery Ljubljana. Special thanks also go to the Museum of Puppetry and the Ljubljana Puppet Theatre.
