Opening of the exhibition Sreda v sredo & friends
Event as part of the Opening Days of the 36th Ljubljana Biennale of Graphic Arts (June 3–8)
The collective Sreda v sredo (Wednesday Group, SVS) was founded in 2019 by Žiga Artnak, Urban Cerjak and Matic Flajs. What began as a casual weekly gathering of friends with the simple idea of exploring artistic techniques and creative concepts, gradually evolved into a group with a distinct identity and a fully operating printmaking studio. The studio became a venue, workplace and meeting point of the 35th Biennale of Graphic Arts, for which the collective received the Audience Award. The exhibition at Ljubljana Castle traces the core themes of SVS’s creative practice and offers an insight into the workings of this self-organised community of artists.
