Intergenerational weaving workshop with Slovenian yarn on the occasion of the exhibition of Antonio Pichillá, The Offering

In this workshop, we will learn the technique of hand weaving on a frame. Each participant will make their own little textile piece to take away and find it a special place in their home. We will work with Slovenian wool, both in its natural white colour and in the delicate shades created using natural dyes from food waste (such as avocado skin and onion peel). Alongside weaving, participants will have the opportunity to experiment with dyeing wool yarn and explore creative ways of reusing the leftovers that remain from cooking.

Led by Kristi Komel, a textile designer who creates sustainable projects through weaving and other handmade textile techniques and the incorporation of local materials. Free admission, register at trgovina@mglc-lj.si.
