Spoon Prints
Become better acquainted with screenprinting, one of the most popular printmaking techniques. The short workshops involve making prints on T-shirts, bags and bandanas. Guidance is provided by Jakob Puh, master printmaker at MGLC.
Wednesday, 12. 6.: Flowers on a T-shirt
As flowering meadows are the theme, the workshop involves making prints of flowers. A short demonstration of the technique is followed by a practical part, in which participants make a print that they go on to complete on their own. Light-coloured T-shirts are recommended, so bring them with you!
Thursday, 13. 6.: Švicarija on bags
A short introduction to the technique is followed by making prints on cotton bags with motifs from the life of mice at MGLC Švicarija. The author of the images is the artist and top-notch illustrator Leon Zuodar. Workshop participants receive the bags as a gift from MGLC!
Friday, 14. 6.: Bandanas for our four-legged friends
MGLC is a dog-friendly museum. The workshop focuses on printing dog names on bandanas that can be worn as neckerchiefs by our four-legged friends. The introductory presentation is followed by making prints in practice. Participants receive the bandanas free of charge at the workshop.
Saturday, 15. 6.: Švicarija on bags
On the last day of Summer in Tivoli at MGLC Švicarija we are printing motifs from the life of mice onto bags, which participants receive free of charge at the workshop. The author of the images is the artist and top-notch illustrator Leon Zuodar.
