Between Portrait and Impression, sales exhibition

The exhibition of graphic pieces by artists who have worked in the MGLC Print Studio over the past years represents a diverse cross-section of contemporary graphic art as shaped by the generations of artists connected to the International Centre of Graphic Arts.

The exhibited works carry the trace of these experiences and exchanges – each print is the outcome of meticulous work, experimentation and dialogue between the artist, the plate and the impression. The exhibition features a selection of works and discloses the pulse of an intertwined community that has grown in the studio through the years of creation, interchange and collaboration, all captured through the lens of photographer Urška Boljkovac. Her portraits convey the artists' creative zeal and joy in exploring various printmaking processes and techniques.

The prints and portraits together form a comprehensive narrative about a creative space where exceptional works have been produced for decades. The exhibition is therefore not only an overview of past creations but also presents the Print Studio as a living organism that unites tradition, knowledge and openness to new expressive pathways.

The exhibition presents the following artists:

Neža Jurman, David Kucler, Miha Majes, Oliver Pilić, Monika Plemen, Arjan Pregl, Lina Rica, Jaanus Samma, Small but dangers (Simon Hudolin and Mateja Rojc), Marko Šajn, SVS, Sreda v sredo (Žiga Artnak, Urban Cerjak and Matic Flajs), Mladen Stropnik, Sašo Vrabič, Sonja Vulpes, Leon Zuodar, Honza Zamojski

and

the creator of their portraits: Urška Boljkovac.

The exhibited works are available for purchase, and the full range can be viewed in the MGLC online shop
