MGLC Courses 2024–2025

We invite you to enrol in the printmaking and sculpture courses, which will take place from November 2024 to April 2025 at the MGLC Print Studio in Grad Tivoli and at the Stojan Batič Memorial Studio in Švicarija.

Printmaking:

PRINTMAKING COURSE 1: Beginner course in printmaking techniques: silkscreen, woodcut, linocut, collagraphy

65 full hours on Wednesdays from 6 November to 23 April in the MGLC Print Studio

Mentors: Jakob Puh, Oliver Pilić, Silvester Plotajs Sicoe, Pika Gačnik

Participation fee: 350 EUR

PRINTMAKING COURSE 2: Advanced course in printmaking techniques: etching and reservage, lithography, aquatint and drypoint

65 full hours on Tuesdays from 5 November to 23 April in the MGLC Print Studio

Mentors: Alja Košar, Monika Plemen

Participation fee: 350 eur

Closing meeting with public presentation (2 hours): 23 April, from 17.00 to 19.00 in the MGLC Print Studio

By registering to both courses, participants automatically receive membership to the FRIENDS OF THE BIENNALE CLUB, which entitles them to a 15% discount. Students, pensioners and unemployed persons receive a 10% discount on the participation fee.

Sculpture:

SCULPTURE COURSE 1: From image to monument, modelling in clay

18 full hours on Thursdays from 21 November to 9 January in the Stojan Batič Memorial Studio

Mentor: Tomaž Furlan

Participation fee: 180 eur

SCULPTURE COURSE 2: Exploring clay and space

18 full hours on Fridays from 14 February to 21 March in the Stojan Batič Memorial Studio

Mentor: Kristina Rutar

Participation fee: 180 eur

Closing meeting with public presentation: 4 April at 17.00 in MGLC Švicarija

The sculpture courses are organised to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Stojan Batič.
