In the MGLC Print Studio, we host the Belgrade artist Marija Anđelković
In the MGLC print Studio, we are currently hosting Marija Anđelković (1988, Belgrade), who completed her BA, MA and PhD studies in the Graphic Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade. Her work has been included in eight solo and numerous group exhibitions at home and abroad. She has participated in several local and foreign art projects and graphic workshops. Since 2018, she has been employed as a print master at the Center for Graphics and Visual Research, FFA in Belgrade.
The concept of her work is based on constantly bringing the physical and aesthetic experience into relation, finding the path to its formalisation within the specific performative notion of the graphic medium. Working in a professional studio, along with extended maturation in a lithography workshop, played a crucial role in shaping her creative character and directing her primary research interest towards exploring the phenomenology of the printmaking craft and experimenting with graphic languages and processes. In the field of lithographic performing art, motion develops as a medium that combines material and non-material structures. Manual and mental cognitive connections expand the field of consciousness, and their ultimate goal is wholeness in the original sense.
