Exhibition of Contemporary Slovenian Printmaking in Berlin
On Wednesday, 11 September, the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Berlin will open an exhibition of prints by Slovenian artists from the Collection of the International Centre of Graphic Arts in Ljubljana. The exhibited artists include the graphic designer and visual artist Zora Stančič, the Laibach collective, David Kucler, who works in the field of painting and printmaking, the Berlin-based artist Neža Jurman, aka Nez Pez, the visual artist and graphic designer Marko Šajn and the artist duo Mateja Rojc and Simon Hudolin, who work under the name Small but dangers.
Curator Božidar Zrinski wrote about the exhibition: "The selection of works stands out both in terms of concept and formal relationship to the graphic medium. All works have been created in the MGLC Print Studio. Marko Šajn, David Kucler, Neža Jurman, Mladen Stropnik, Natalija Juhart, Small but dangers are artists, who excel in their clearly formulated content, quality preparation and execution of works. They are complemented by the works of Laibach collective and artists Zora Stanič and Petra Varl. "
The exhibition is a collaboration with SKICA Berlin, the International Centre of Graphic Arts and the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Berlin.
